Hello lybrate-user, sleeping in the afternoon for long hours make you obese as well as lethargic also. So avoid sleeping in the afternoon though you can take nap. Take light lunch because heavy lunch makes you drowsy. And join some kind of activity or sports to utilize your time.

You are 21 years of age and you are sleeping during noon, which is not correct. You must sleep for 7 to 8 hours during night which should be undisturbed. Weight gain can be many reasons Low metabolic rate, Hormone imbalances, over eating, sedentary lifestyle. So you have to see where do you fit. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.
