Dietician said to eat 35gm paneer daily for my dad, he is diabetic and early CKD patient and on low protein diet. Is that ok? Or we should avoid milk n paneer.

Mr. Lybrate-user, with ckd protein intake should be around 0.6 g per kg. Since his ideal body weight is about 63 kg, total protein intake can be about 38 g. This means 35 g of paneer a day will be high. He should stick to about 25 g or so. Because other diet does give some protein.

One has to know the body weight and the the severity of diabetes to prescribe proteins. Your dietitian must have surely calculated the amount and given it to your dad. in diabetes one has to have 1st class protein. So paneer is perfect. If he is a non vegetarian then you can add eggs, fish and chicken as well. Milk should be avoided as it has a high insulinemic index.
