I took 4 dose of rabies vaccine at seduled time. 1st one in gluteal region and other three in arm. 2nd and third after keep 1-2 hr in 20�c and fourth one after nearly 7 hr keep at 20�c.am I safe? Now it is 12 days from 4th dose. Please reply! rabies.

General guidelines are -- vaccine to be stored at 2-8 degree c.--------may be kept for maximum 6 hours --outside fridge mobileafter that potency will be coming down------ some companies are producing vaccine which can be kept at 2-25 degree c.mobile for 6 hours mobileso you verify the details from the leaflet with the vaccine boxmobile as per general guidelines -- your fourth dose have to be repeated. You have n't told --whether the regimen was intra -dermal or intra-muscular---if it was intra-muscular --at your age--- the absorption of vaccine may be less -------as fat is much more in gluteal area --compaired to recommended site of deltoid ---- so in my openion ---if it was i/m regimen ---better to repeat the whole doses --at the earliest ---after taking expert openionmobileas rabies is a disease with cent percent mortalitymobile and we shall not take 1 in a million chance --here. Thank you for asking this very important question ---especially as ---india is having plenty of street dogs---- and the need for post-exposure prophylaxis in the correct method is most important--- in saving thousands of lives.
