you mentioned you as male, so i guess this is not for yourself. cramps during ovulation for few are common, and in large during the periods. (usually ovulation happens on around 14th day of 28 day cycle).cramps in lower abdomen, low back and some times experience in thighs and calf muscles. it is due to spasm of muscles. but if the pain is severe, need to evaluate for ovarian cyst, endometriosis or hormonal issues.
