My sister is suffering from scabies. Do we need to isolate her from us. What precautions she need to take if she is staying with us? Can she travel and go to office as her treatment just started today itself? Please reply soon.

All her clothes, bread spreads and blankets or any of her garments have to be washed with hot water and detergent with dettol. She should not maintain any physical contact with people. She should sleep separately and shower right before bed so application of the cream will be very helpful overnight. It will be better if she does not go to work for a few days until it settles, as scabies can spread very quickly. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a like/ thanks. Thank you.
