Hey lybrate-user. Please stick to the regimen prescribed by your psychiatrist. Allow the medication some time to work. Follow up with the same psychiatrist after the prescribed dosage and evaluate results. Additionally, you can reach out for therapy. Your therapist will help you address these intrusive thoughts and come up with behaviours and practices to manage them in a safe and accepting environment. Medications reduce the symptoms, but therapy is important when you want to deal with these symptoms on a long term basis. You can reach out to a trusted therapist in your city or you can also reach out to us at heartitout.in/book-a-asession to book an online session. Hope this helps! take care!

Hello Neda - Oleanz Plus contains Fluoxetine (20mg) + Olanzapine (5mg). Usually fluoxetine takes upto 4-6 weeks for maximum therapeutic effect. So you may continue to see some more improvement over the next few weeks. - When your symptoms are better discuss with your doctor to switch to Fluoxetine only ( instead of Oleanz Plus which also contains Olanzapine). - Also along with medication, try to have CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- as well. It will be beneficial in OCD Take care

Write down your obsessive thoughts or worries. Keep a pad and pencil on you, or type on a laptop, smartphone, or tablet. When you begin to obsess, write down all your thoughts or compulsions. Keep writing as the ocd urges continue, aiming to record exactly what you’re thinking, even if you’re repeating the same phrases or the same urges over and over. Writing it all down will help you see just how repetitive your obsessions are. Writing down the same phrase or urge hundreds of times will help it lose its power. Writing thoughts down is much harder work than simply thinking them, so your obsessive thoughts are likely to disappear sooner.
