Hi, I have been sexually active, last on 2nd march and have also been on pills. Since i'm in a long distance relationship I was not expecting to see my partner for sometime and so I stopped taking my pills after my withdrawal bleed on 23rd april, i.e. I have been on 2 pills pack since the last time I had intercourse and had okay withdrawal bleed, lesser than a normal period. So I should have got my periods around 23rd may, but it's 8th june today and I haven't still got them. I was also getting pimples which I didn't have for years and my breasts felt sore a week back. Is there any chance that I should be worried about pregnancy? Is it possible that I got withdrawal bleed due to the pill but still got pregnant? Why am I not getting my periods? And what should I be doing to resume it naturally?

If you did not begin new pack of pills after 23 rd of april, then chances of pregnancy are there. Do urine for pregnancy test to know the exact status.

First take a urine pregnancy test. I do not think there is any chance of pregnancy but it has to be ruled out. You can contact me online with the test report.

Missing oral contraceptive for 2or 3 days can cause contraceptive failure. Do a urine pregnancy test. If positive, meet a gynecologist.

Hi lybrate-user. U got your periods in april after stopping the pills. Good. Then the chances are less that you conceive. I want more details to confirm. Like since how many months you were on pills, and the name of the pills? And did you miss taking the pill even a single day during march month? Just get a pregnancy test and see because you missed your period for more than 10 days. If it shows negative then we can decide your treatment accordingly. If you stop taking pills after a prolonged use also, you ll miss your periods, weight gain, acne problems will be there due to the hormonal imbalance. Or may be your periods are going to start in one or two days then also breast tenderness, one/2 pimples such signs will be there. For further quiries please contact me through online consultation. Thank you.
