Hello, lybrate-user teeth needs to be moved always by braces not retainers, as the word is self explanatory the retainers always retains which is already been treated. Retainers are single wire appliances which is called hawley appliance, which applies heavy forces only should be used when recommended by orthodontist for a growing child. Braces provides force which is not damaging to the bone, so complete the treatment always with braces and retain them with retainers I hope this helps.
