What is the likelihood of extreme withdrawals from clonazepam? I was prescribed for anxiety while I started zoloft. I was taking 0.25 mg clonazepam once a day fr a month, then 0.125 mg once a day for about 3 months. For 6 weeks I have taken 0.125-0.0625 mg every second day. Would this actually be having any effect on my body? And am I safe to stop now? Or would further tapering be recommended.

From your note the diagnosis is not defenite. If it is anxiety state, better you continue the medication. I would suggest to add behaviour modification therapy for better results.

Hello lybrate-user. You are safe. You can now stop taking this. No tapering required now. No such withdrawal symptoms for this dose.

Dear lybrate-user so far what you have done is enough to stop it. I don't think that this does will have any adverse effects, and even if you experience anything you can take last dose on sos basis. What you are taking now is pediatric dose that is unlikely to cause any discontinuation effect.
