Hello, these days composite is best but for composite to be success it requires complete isolation that is saliva control and it gets little difficult in kids so sometimes gic is the choice. And gic is also a strong and tooth coloured filling material. Thanks.

Both are good, gic has high flouride release, good for teeth prone to cavities.

composite is relatively strength and mechanically bonded to tooth compared to gic which is chemically bonded to tooth.and aslo composite available in varies shades

Composite has advantage over gic of being strong, more esthetic material. For mixed dentition choice between gic or composite based on many factors. Usually gic do well. For adults the choice of material is composite in most of the cases.
