Hi, I have my premolar out of its position and it is near the palate, on upper jaw. One of my upper jaw canine is also not at its right place. So, I want to go for braces. Is it necessary to get the braces on all my teeth on both upper and lower jaw? Can I have braces only on those specific teeth? If yes, then will it cost any less than that for all teeth?

Usually correcting the alignment of few teeth also needs braces on all teeth of both jaws, the reason being that all our teeth are in a balanced relationship with each other. Any change in position of one tooth mostly warrants changes in position of other teeth too, so you can end up with a proper occlusion. But see an orthodontist and he/she will be able to guide you towards the best possible treatment

Hello, for the correction of irregular teeth, you need to go with braces. Treatment generally requires braces on all the teeth because these teeth need to be adjusted into position and the other teeth must be adjusted accordingly. An opg x-ray (full mouth x-ray) would help plan the treatment.

Hello, the first thing you have to understand is that for moving one tooth we need a space and that space will be created by moving the other teeth as well. Every tooth have there respective opposing tooth which makes your bite perfect so its important to get braces on all your upper and lower teeth as suggested by the dentist. Thanks.
