Dear lybrateuser, - To quit smoking one has to develop a strong willpower & determination - fix a date on which you will completely quit the habit - remove all the articles associated with it like cigarettes, lighter, ashtray from your home or any other place where you keep it so that they are out of reach when the urge is there - inform your friends about your decision so that no-one coaxes you to have one - keep your mind busy in various activities like your job, studies or a hobby like reading, playing a game, gymming, do yoga, meditation to reduce stress - if still urge is there then take nicotine gum or lozenges - also can consult a doctor if you still find it difficult to leave.
