Hello Mr. lybrate-user, Generally after a hydrocele surgery, patient is discharged from the hospital in just 2-3 days or even 1 day in some centres. But as sutures are removed after 7-10 days of surgery, some people avoid going to work for some days. However apart from avoiding physically strenous activity and taking care of your surgical wound, there’s no contradiction for going back to work after 3-4 days. All this said, postoperative recovery depends on a lot of factors and varies from patient to patient. I advise you to discuss it further with your treating doctor / surgeon and follow his/ her advice on the same. Hope my answer was helpful. Take care.
