About Safexim O Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Cefixime and Ofloxacin as active ingredients. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. This medication works as an antibiotic by stopping the growth of bacteria and also killing it. It medication is used to treat infections such as bronchitis, gonorrhea, and infections of ear, throat, tonsils, etc.

This medication only treats bacterial infections and doesn’t work for viral infections like flu. It should be stored in a tightly closed container. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat. Keep them out of the reach of children.

It works as a bactericidal by inhibiting the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme, which is essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This leads to expansion and destabilization of the bacterial DNA and causes cell death.
