5 Tips to Help You Avoid Weight Gain During Summers

Summer vacations are great. Everyone waits eagerly for a vacation to get a break from their daily lives and relax. Vacation means no limits and no barriers. People tend to have the time of their lives during a summer vacation. This may sometimes result in weight gain, as some people forget about a healthy diet while on a vacation and indulge in exotic food excessively.

Here are five tips to avoid gaining weight while you are on your summer vacation.

  1. Carry healthy snacks: Instead of consuming fast food and food from the hotel vending machine, it is advisable that you carry healthy, nutritious snacks with you. Avoid eating potato chips and other fried snacks. Instead, carry protein bars with you to meet your snack requirements. You can also bring little bags of nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits like apples, bananas or grapes. Keep the snacks near you and have them in small amounts frequently.
  2. Choose wisely at meal buffets: While on a summer vacation, the wide range of food items in the hotel’s breakfast or lunch buffet is sure to tempt you. You will find amazing and irresistible food items all around you. However, you should eat strategically instead of indulging in everything. Too much food can make you tired, and you may not want to go out and would rather feel like resting in the hotel room. While selecting from the buffet food items, include exotic foods as well as healthy foods to stay fit.
  3. Working out: While on a vacation, you do not have to work out rigorously, but some form of daily exercise is necessary. In case your vacation spot is in an isolated area without any gym facility, you should plan ahead and carry some workout equipments with you. You can work out for some short amount of time in your hotel room or even outside with devices such as a jump rope. Practicing pushups, crunches and lunges can also be effective.
  4. Utilize the hotel’s facilities: Most modern hotels have a multi-gym with great equipments to work out. These gyms are open 24 hours a day in most hotels, and you can choose your most convenient time to work out and burn some calories at the gym.
  5. Exercise with your family: During a summer vacation, planning outings and outdoor activities is a good way to keep in shape. You can go for biking trips with your family or can take a hike along beautiful roads, hills or woods. Any place you visit, try to walk around and explore.

Vacations are meant to have fun and eat good food. However, you should restrict yourself a bit regarding food and try to work out a little while on vacation to avoid gaining weight.

Start taking aloevera giloy juice 40ml twice daily with water empty stomach and medohar guggle 2 tds with warm water empty stomach. Do brisk walking for 1 hour daily.

Follow periods paricharya during period days avoid heavy food heavy work bathing travelling exercise during period days 1/2 strength exercise in morning will be beneficial for extra fat loss take basti panchakarma treatment for kideney stone and pcod eat fresh home made locally suitable easily digestable food avoid basi food freeze stored food western food like pizza pasta burger etc consult privetly for more details by providing detail histroy.

I am suffering from Hypothyroid and pcod. For weightless my dietitian advise me to take all plant protein from amway. Is it safe for or not? Mera weight loss nahin ho raha. Kafi exercise or diet control k baad bhi .mujhe scanty periods ki problem bhi h.par mere thyroid or pcod ki reports normal h.what can I do please advise me.

Hi you can try n take healthy meals and eat after every 3 hrs. Along with 30 min of walk. Try to eat lot of seasonal fruit and take skimmed milk also.

You are in a very serious situation. Losing 20 kgs in 3 months can adversely affect your body. Specially when you are already extremely obese which seem to be causing you lots of complications. Please go to a dietician so that you can get a scientific and customized diet regime.

The first option for any weight loss is appropriate diet and exercise. Avoid shortcuts. Not good for your health overall. Liposuction is not a permanent procedure. You will have to keep repeating it again and again.

Hi lybrate-user, Whatever we consume ,is absorbed in blood and utilize by our whole body thus we will see difference in facial mass only after gaining 3-4 kg body weight. hello , take high fiber diet. take luke warm water before and after meals. take plenty of water. do brisk walk and stretching exercise alternate days.don't skip your meals and breakfast specially. have small and frequent meals. take plenty of fruits. take black tea without sugar before workout.

Hi Md Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. To lose tummy fat you should avoid starchy and sugary food exm. chapati, rice, bread, potato. U can use high protein diet exm. pannier, egg, chicken. Take lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner.

PCOD needs prolonged treatment with patience and repeated consultation with Gynecologist. Yes weight reduction is important. Principles in loosing weight are some excercises, more protein and low carbohydrate and low fat (Omega-6) but to maintain proper intake of vitamins, minerals. After 6 in evening to avoid carbs and take protein+fibre.
