Hello doctor just want to know what if we take 3 iplls in a month. Can we get pregnant? Please help.
Hi lybrate-user, Donot take 3 ipills in a month. I pill is not to be used as a regular contraception and it may cause irregular periods, hormonal imbalance and will not be effective as a contraceptive if used thrice in a month. It is to be used only as an emergency contraceptive. Please do consult your gynecologist for the best contraceptive according to your convenience and choice. It is safer to use a condom in addition to avoid infections. Take care.

After taking endosis I got just drop of period for two days but after seven days again drop of discharge I could see ...
No if it is just spotting than it cannot be considered as periods... it should appear in due time... if in case it does not than you should consult the doctor who prescribed the medicine... And my advise is to go for homoeopathic treatment as it is safe... and very effective with permanent solution of the complaints..

Can any one clear my problem what is the safe time to have sex without safety and pills and not to get pregnant.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS

Day 1 to day 7 and day 21 to rest of the cycle are known to be “safe days” or your “safe period”. The method is perfect only for women whose menstrual cycles are regular, i.e., 25 to 32 days cycles. This method is not completely reliable.

6 Ways to Increase the Chances of Normal Delivery

MBBS, DGO, MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MRCOG
Gynaecologist, Delhi
6 Ways to Increase the Chances of Normal Delivery

How to increase chances of normal delivery?

A normal birth or a normal delivery takes place when the uterus contracts strong enough to push the baby out of the vagina. This mode, being agonizingly painful; however, is also one of the safest and healthiest means of giving birth. When the child passes through the birth canal, they acquire healthy bacteria which build up their immunity.

In few cases, the normal birth process faces few obstacles owing to which an assisted delivery method has to be approached. This includes an episiotomy, forceps delivery, ventouse delivery, induction, as well as c-section.

If you wish to avoid the above mentioned methods of assistance during your delivery, then go through the following content of the article to learn about certain ways of attaining a normal delivery.

1. Perineal massage:

A perineal massage once or twice a week during the end days of pregnancy can reduce your chances of having an episiotomy, if you are about to deliver for the first time. However, such a massage would be of no use if you have already given birth to a baby vaginally.

2. Early labour at home:

Many women tend to head to the hospital during early hours of labour. However, such an act increases the incidence of c-section. During early hours of labour, staying at home until active contractions begin is much more appropriate than the former act.

3. Mobility during early labour:

The early hours of labour require mobility such as walking, squatting or turning sides when resting. With your body moving, the baby shall also acquire some mobility enough to help itself through the birth canal.

4. Control your weight:

Throughout your gestation, you need to check for your weight and keep it under control. Gaining too many kilos can result in obstructed labour, which in turn shall call the need for an instrumental assistance.

5. Hot shower:

During the early hours of labour, dipping yourself in a tub filled with warm water can make some really effective means of controlling pain. The pain eases off a bit while the uterus contracts and does its job. If you do not have a tub, then take a shower with warm water instead.

6. Avoid panicking:

At the hospitals, women who fail to achieve proper uterine contractions are offered induction of labour via administration of oxytocin. This is a hormone, which is actually released naturally in the body when the time of delivery approaches. However, stress can produce adverse affects on the body’s oxytocin production. Hence, try to stay calm and relaxed when you are approaching your time of delivery.

Dietary supplements in the form of natural food items are better and effective without side effects in comparison to drugs. So always look for vegetables and fruits that r organic in nature. Also there r some food companies that provide these food supplements like amway and supple.

Hello lybrate-user, She got different type of period in 6th Nov because she had taken I - pill. So that is natural as an emergency contraceptive contains hormones which affects the normal cycle to avoid pregnancy. She suffered from dengue which leads to platelet loss. Her body had to fight it and get rid of the disease due to which the nutrition of the body was affected which might have postponed the menstrual cycle. I would suggest you to kindly wait for three four days. Mostly she will get her periods. If still she doesn't get them then kindly do a UPT test at home to detect pregnancy. Chances of it is very less if no intercourse during last month after 6th Nov. I hope I have been if some help to you. Kindly provide your valuable feedback. Tk care.

I am happy to know that your sugar levels are in control. However, please check hba1c% it should be around 6.5%, which means the control is good. It is important that you also maintain your weight near normal, right now your bmi is 29.77kg/m2 which shows obesity. Obesity also affects diabetes and fertility. Please take care to cut your weight as it is high as your ideal body weight should be 57 kgs. You need to exercise for more than 1 h a day and follow restricted diet avoiding deep fried foods, red meat and high fat containing items.

IVF- 3 Reasons To Go For It

IVF- 3 Reasons To Go For It

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a medical procedure that side-steps the sexual act of conceiving and helps infertile couples, conceive a biological child. It involves the manual process of fertilization by combining an egg and sperm in the laboratory and then implanting the embryo into the female to impregnate her.

The inability to give birth through the natural way is caused due to complications like: blocked fallopian tubes, unexplained infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS, endometriosis: where parts of the womb lining grow out of the womb, premature ovarian failure and so on.

If you or your partner is having trouble conceiving, you should opt for in vitro fertilization. It holds benefits like-

1. High success rate: Women who underwent in vitro fertilisation using fresh embryos of their own fresh eggs, the projected live birth percentage was 32.2% for those under 35 years, 27.7% for women aged between 35 and 37 years, lowering to 5.0% in 43 to 44 year olds and 1.9% for ages above 45. It has been proved that a female’s ability to conceive decreases with age. If infertility is detected at a younger age, the process of IVF is highly advantageous and successfully results in childbirth.

2. Proven track record: Technology has come a long way since the first baby via IVF Louise Brown was born in 1978 using a natural IVF. Medical techniques have advanced to create safer and successful treatment. The usage of the safest forms of IVF with low drug regimens today, have prevented side effects such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

3. Harvests multiple eggs: If you are planning to have more than one child, via IVF you can freeze multiple eggs for future use. Unused or spare embryos can be donated to medical organisations for research purposes or to another couple willing to have a child.
IVF has proven successful in giving couples a wholesome and happy life. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an IVF Specialist.

Firstly, at 6 wks pregnancy position of baby doesn't matter. You ars having spotting and pain also, these are signs of threatened abortion but as baby's heartbeat is normal, take medicines as prescribed to you by your doctor, take rest also, there are good chances that you will be ok.
