I have a kid who will soon turn 3. I'm so worried that she doesn't put on weight. Birth weight was 2.36 kgs. Uptill year 1 she gained well Theron it's minimal. Now too she weigh btw 10.6 to 10.80. Somehow each time I feel she will gain weight, she falls sick and loses weight. Hence her weight always stays within 11 kgs. She is otherwise a super active baby. My ped advised pediasure but nothing. Trying to get her eat the list given by a dietician but no results. I am worried.

There is no wonder drug/safe drug for the child so that they keep on eating. Weight of the child as per requirement should have been around​ 13 -14 kg. Instead of becoming more worried try to enroll variety in the food with 2hrly feeds for the baby. Also do not repeat the same food daily keep on changing. If the child is taking 2 glass of milk then its ok if not then enroll milk products in diet like paneer, shrikhand etc. Give halva, sweets etc along with dry fruits also. Give seasonal fruits. If there is difficulty is swallowing then give semisolid food after grinding in the mixer. Always give home-based food. At the end if the baby is getting ill again and again kindly meet you pediatrician to rule out immunodeficiency diseases.

Nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds and flax seeds, are full of calories and make the perfect snack between meals. Munch on them to enjoy their taste, nutrients and of course weight gain. Nuts contain healthy fats and are a healthy way to increase your weight. However, do not stuff yourself with them, as you will not feel hungry for your next meal.

Hye. Post workout meals depends on the intensity and type of workout you indulged in. Post cardio workout you can take a carb like fruits. If you have indulged in resistance training then depending on your intensity of workout we need to look into how much protein and carbs we need and then plan either egg whites and fruit or milk and fruit.

everyone doesn't have pearl white teeth. your teeth color matches your skin colour. you can go for scaling and polishing followed by bleaching for more whiter teeth. stop using lemon juice on teeth. In long term, it will erode the enamel surface, making the tooth sensitive.

I am 19 years old and I was losing my strength easily by this I am back in my work. What should I do?

Do health check ups first. Or if it is hereditary then it could happen. Otherwise follow these. Eat frequently with extra. Take dense fruits vegetables. Take extra protein rich foods. Avoid fast foods as far as possible. Take high calorie foods like ghee, butter etc. Use nutritional supplement. Do muscle building exercise which will help to gain weight. These will help you but for more quick and effective result.

Include good source of proteins in your daily diet. Once a day fruits and salad. Go for 45 minute walk. For neck pain hot water fomentation will help.

Juice Vs Fruit - What Benefits the Body More?

Do you love to eat up the whole fruit? Or, is it the freshly crushed juice that appeals to you more. Both as you know are healthy options. However, is there really a difference between the nutritional value of the two, if it involves the same fruit?

The answer is a big 'Yes'.

While freshly squeezed fruit juice is a healthy addition to your daily diet, it cannot replace eating whole fruits (or vegetables). In the choice between juicing and eating whole fruits, though juicing has its advantages, the latter offers more nutrition. Here's why.

Advantage: Juicing is convenient

The convenience of gulping down a glass of juice versus eating a whole fruit is one of the biggest advantages of juicing. However, this counts as a convenience only if you aren't making the juice and cleaning the juicer yourself. When you have to make your own juice, it probably would be easier to simply cut and eat the fruit.

Advantage: Juicing makes it easier for the body to absorb nutrients

Juicing is said to make absorbing nutrients easier for people with digestive diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases. This is because the process of juicing removes fibers thus giving the digestive system less work to do. Another advantage is eating a whole fruit fills you up more than drinking a glass of juice. This allows you to take in higher amounts of vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc. However, this theory has not been proved.

Disadvantage: Juicing removes fiber

Though the removal of fiber makes it easier for the body to digest fruit juice, this loss of fiber is actually a disadvantage for people with a healthy digestive system. Since the digestive system does not have to work on digesting fibers in juice, the body uses fewer calories in the process. Lesser calories burnt imply lesser weight loss. Since juices are digested faster than whole fruits, hunger is satisfied for shorter periods of time leading to an increased appetite.

Disadvantage: Juicing removes flavonoids

Along with a loss of fiber, flavonoids found in the skin and fruit pulp are also lost in the process of juicing. Flavonoids have been linked to longevity and are best known for their antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help prevent a number of cardiovascular diseases. In citrus fruits, the whole fruit is said to have five times the flavonoids as a glass of juice made from them.

To fuse the convenience of juice and the healthiness as whole fruit, use a blender instead of a juicer. This way, you don't lose any fruit pulp and can enjoy a tasty glass of juice.

Hello You need not worry. Drink plenty of water. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Start your day with peanut butter sandwich. After 2 hours take 500ml milk. After 2 hours take 2-3 chapati with ghee applied along with paneer curry. Evening banana shake. Take apple before workout. After workout take 1 scoop of whey protein powder. Dinner take 2-3 chapati with ghee applied along with paneer or soya curry. Thank you

Since how long your liver are raised. Treatment depends upon whether the inflammation of liver which cause raised liver enzymes can be due to viral infection like hepatitis a, b, c or due to fat deposition in the liver, or immunological injury or drug induced or chronic alcoholism. Why have you started taking viboliv because it is given mainly in alcoholic liver disease though some evidence has favoured its usage non alcoholic steatohepatitis (nash). If you are taking alcohol, your symptoms are suggestive of acute alcoholic hepatitis which can be exacerbating alcohol induced chronic liver disease if you are chronic alcoholic. I suggest, you consult a heptologist and act accordingly.

Kindly add these daily. 2 glasses of milk in the morning and night. 2 cups of curd daily with lunch and dinner. 1 cup of pulses daily. 1 egg/pc chicken/fish or paneer every week, 2-3 tsp of ghee daily with food and about 8-10 nuts daily. Also include dates, raisins, figs every day. In the main meals, increase portion size by 20%. All the best.

When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Cashews, almonds, dates, walnuts, dry grapes, apricots, peaches are some of the dried fruits and nuts that can be added to breakfast, salads, cereal and desserts. Sesame seeds, ground nuts, and peanuts also contain fats in them and can help in adding that extra pounds you desire. 2. Sometimes loss of appetite may also cause weight loss. So you should take following remedies improving weight a]triphala kadha 4tsp before lunch and dinner b]amala juice 4 tsp + sugar 2 tsp+ honey 2 tsp empty stomach in the morning umami flavor increases satiety and enhances appetite. Hi if you want to gain weight, you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest.

Hi, If the food you eat is not properly digested and absorbed then how can you gain weight.Nothing will work if this is not proper. Take *Alfa malt forte (medisynth) 1tablespoon to be taken twice a day during meals for 1mth *Take GRD Powder 1tablespoon in 1 cup of milk ,drink once a day

Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy eggs nuts fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements. They will not work in isolation. You have to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.
