Sir I have stammering problem So I am very sad to this cause. My voice is clear and I cannot speak fastly and clearly so please help me.

Your problem appears to be more of a psychological and behavioural in nature which can be improved by reducing the speed of spoken words and lengthening and prolonging the word which you r unable to speak. Please continue this therapy for a week if it shows marginal improvement then you May hv to go for regular speech therapy for 8 weeks. It is very essential to know your hearing status for which pure tone audiometery would be required.

Dear Lybrateuser, - To cope up with your situation you have to follow a timely routine for your diet, exercise, studies & sleep - fix your timing for the daily schedule & try to follow it - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products, legumes, nuts & healthy fats as in olive oil, fish, avocados & nuts - include a protein food in each of your meals & also as snacks inbetween meals when you feel hungry, have something to eat like fruit or nuts or any other light snack every 2-3 hrs to provide energy & to keep your brain alert - take a 5 min break every 1-2 hrs, get up & take a walk, revise your topic in your mind & then again settle down for the next session - keep yourself well hydrated by having plenty of oral fluids & at least 7-8 glasses of water - find time for exercise for 15-20 min daily, do walking, jogging or yoga & meditation to improve your concentration - sleep well for at least 6-7 hrs at night as it is very important to get up refreshed next morning & to be alert the whole day with a good concentrating power.

I think you developed a dependency on cannabis. That’s why when ever you r trying to quit your body is showing symptoms. Continue your medicines that will help you to get out of the physical withdrawal symptoms. But simultaneously you must go for psychotherapy. You need to understand about the substance you r taking, its long term effects and how and in what circumstances it can again come into your life. You need to improve your coping skills and life management skills. All these things can be provided by a registered clinical psychologist. Go to a clinical psychologist and undergo some psychotherapy sessions. It will help you.

I have been majorly dealing with intrusive thoughts for as long as I could remember. It manifested in the form of different themes through the years. I haven't spoken about it to anyone in fear of embarrassment. And now it's taking a toll on my health and relationship. And I've been through various websites and forums looking for a cure. And that's when I stumbled across obsessive compulsive disorder. Everything I had been experiencing had been jotted down in the name of pure O ocd disorder (Counting obsession involving lucky and unlucky numbers when I was in primary school ; obsessions involving phobias - fear of losing emotions, fear of going insane ; Sensorimotor obsession involving breathing ; Random sexual and harm intrusive thoughts ; Religious intrusive thoughts while praying - my opposite wishes pop up in my mind when I pray and causing panic ; Relationship obsession ). All of these themes have ruled a decent period of my living and it keeps shifting to a new subject, anything that's close to my heart. I'm tired of fighting these thoughts and at times I get numb and detached for days together and there are days when I just cry it all out. Loss of appetite also occurs. And most days I live in my head. Like I analyse and fight with these thoughts right from the moment I wake up, till I go to bed. This really is having a negative impact on my day to day activities. I need an expert to look at into it and suggest if ocd might the case. So that I can look for treatment options. Kindly advice. Thank you.

You should visit a doctor and get an on-the-spot diagnosis. OCD is a fair possibility. Even so you must go for counseling and work in tandem with medication if so advised. Expressing your feelings is a must because if you don't you will internalise the emotion and that can lead to worsening negativity. This is something you can be taught in counseling as to how to handle your emotions. Please take you parents with you to determine the possible developmental issues that may have contributed to this condition. This is a fear-based condition and for some reason you have not been dealing with childhood fear which has now developed these repetitive adaptations to seem to need it for normal functioning. The behavior will then become based on magical thinking like you describe and certain rituals will become necessary to do normal things making you believe that either the frequency or the ritual is important to its success. This of course is a fallacy but there will come a time that even if told the truth, your belief will defy any logic and you will continue behaving like that even if it cripples you in your daily routines. It only appears as though some other force is behind these behaviors and that you are compelled to act in this fashion. That is obviously not true but no one can convince you of anything different. The obsession is a repeating thought pattern with no meaningful outcome; and the compulsiveness is the need to act on those obsessions also in a repeated behavior pattern as though you just cannot help yourself. There are certain behavioral techniques to be implemented and if they work you may get out of this condition rather easily. If that does not work as desired, then medication has to be introduced, and in combination much work can be achieved.
