I am gymming for past few months. And I am having a pain in my hand. How should I overcome it?
Requires detailed investigation and examination Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

I am 20 years old. I have pain in both knee and west and also in hand nearby 10 days I saw this to General Physician but problem not solved then I met an orthopedic doctor who give medicine but still my problem not solved. All doctors told in your body is paining lack of calcium.

It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

Hello doctor. I am very much thankful to the doctors available in this website. My husband is 33 years old. He was working as chief mechanic in automobiles kuwait. He was working hardly for 8 hours without rest. Nowadays he was very tired and got some severe leg ache from knees to underfoot. The pain continues during sleep also. X rays of both knee joints (digital) rule out diabetes high blood pressure or any other kidney problem do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. You will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don? t ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi, I am 41 years old & am suffering from pain in my heel area from past 2 months. After my blood test suggested by doctor it showed uric acid is 7.2mg/dl. My doctor said its gouty arthritis. My doctor suggested medicine tablet febuxostat 400mg & restriction of food like rice, dal, chicken etc. I took medicine tablet febuxostat 400mg regularly for 10 days but have not been able to restrict my food. The pain only starts when I stand continuously in the kitchen even for 10 minutes. Nothing happens when I walk. Please tell me if my problem is because of uric acid or is it something else. Please give me a solution without me restricting my food as I eat dal & rice daily.

A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity,psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain,oats,green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.

Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Get xray of LS spine n coccyx could be a small fracture to your tailbone due to accident causing pain while sitting. & try sitting on a doughnut/ tyre kept on chair. Avoid bike travels for atlst a year

In severe stress and depression, you can develop aphthous ulcers or when immunity is down fungal ulcers too. Since you have some personal reasons, better consult a psychiatrist and get treated for your depression, else situation might worsen.

Avoid Working in Stooped Positions to Save Your Back

When standing with your back straight, the stresses on discs and ligaments in your low back are considerably lower than when you stand with your back bent forward. Many activities around the home may cause you to bend-for example, gardening, vacuuming, bed making, etc.

Occupations requiring prolonged stooped postures are abundant: assembly line workers, bricklayers,electricians, plumbers, carpenters, surgeons, nurses-the list goes on-are all required to bend forward for prolonged periods everyday.

While working in these bent positions, you are more likely to sustain back problems in the first four or five hours of the day.In order to minimise the risks involved in prolonged forward bending, you should interrupt the stooped position at regular intervals before pain starts. You should stand upright and bend backward five or six times.

This is very important if you have already developed low back problems caused by working in a stooped position. Regular interruption of the stooped position will correct any distortion that may occur in the discs and relieve the stresses on the surrounding tissues. When this is done before pain starts, it usually prevents the development of significant low back pain; and remember, you are especially at risk in the first half of your day, so make sure you always do everything correctly during this period.

Dear lybrate-user well, arm pain alone is not enough. We need more information like ant tingling sensation, etc so you need a detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis. Then we can treat you accordingly. Till then apply ice and give rest

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same, you need specific treatment plan according to your symptoms.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari syrup and capsule twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Hi. Back pain may be due to various reasons. If it is only due to over strain or weakness of muscles. Then spinal extension exercises and core stabilisation exercises will work good. Its better to consult a physiotherapist before going for exercises. Good luck.
