The bacteria Toxoplasma gondii is responsible for the condition called toxo or toxoplasmosis. The condition produces a wide range of symptoms in human beings, although most of the time the symptoms do not develop much. One of the most common signs is the flu. Other symptoms include fever, headaches, swelling of lymph glands, fatigue, body aches etc. Contact with feces and cats often lead to infestation of the bacteria. Consumption of raw food and vegetable can also cause toxoplasmosis. Prevention is the best form of treatment for this condition.
