Strongyloides stercoralis is a roundworm that causes an infection in the body called Strongyloidiasis. The roundworm is transferred into the skin from contaminated soil. Cough, diarrhea, stomach cramps, vomiting and rash are symptoms of Strongyloidiasis. Anti-worm medicines are used to treat this disorder. Complications such as Disseminated strongyloidiasis, Eosinophilic pneumonia and Strongyloidiasis hyperinfection syndrome can arise from Strongyloidiasis.

Blood antigen test is a diagnosis procedure for this disorder.
