Chronic Granulomatous Disease is a serious medical condition which is congenital in nature and it passes on from the parents to the offspring. This disease is caused due to the white blood cell malfunctioning in the body. White blood cells help to strengthen the immune system in the human body. Once the white blood cells start malfunctioning, it exposes the body to various viral and bacterial infections and hence causes further serious diseases. A chronic form of this disease can also lead to serious health issues like pneumonia, lung infections, skin infections, gastrointestinal inflammation, liver infections, and other such infections.
HOW IS CHRONIC GRANULOMATOUS DISEASE DIAGNOSED?
People diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Disease are sometimes infected with such organisms that usually do not cause disease.
