TB Gold test is not diagnostic. It can be positive or sometimes negative but does npot confirm the diagnosis. Symptoms of intestinal TB are fever, loss of appetite, constipation/diarrhoea, pain and weakness. Sometimes, there are no symptoms and patient presents with intestinal obstruction.

Hi Lybrate-user, Yes TB can be cured. The prerequisite is to take medicines regularly as adviced (daily or alternate day as per DOTS) without FAIL and long term. The duration is for minimum 6 months but can vary depending on the organ affected (bone TB and brain TB may be up to 1 year). Drug resistant TB is different. It requires treatment for 2 years and is slightly more difficult to cure.
However the symptoms get better usually before treatment is completed.

You should me on anti tb drugs ( ATT) for about 9 months
To prevent your spread you must keep hand towel whenever you sneeze or cough.
Maintain good ventilation
Good diet
Good rest
Healthy and nutritious diet

we should insist tb patients to wear mask. Otherwise we will get the infections when they are coughing. So we need to be cautious from the infection.
