- have more of fibre containing food, vegetables & fruits, whole grains, lentils, beans, pulses, sprouts, peas, nuts

1. Apply proctosedyl ointment 2-3 times daily before and after passing stool. 2. Sit in a bath tub containing warm water with little salt for some time twice daily (sitz bath).

The following are the symptoms of piles:
- Small inflammed outgrowths in the rectum or outside anus
- Pain and burning sensation after defaecation
- Difficulty in passing stools
- Bleeding per rectum after passing stools ( may or may not be)
- Tingling sensation in the anal region
- Unable to sit properly
- Constipation

Main cause of piles is hard stools with straining at time of defecation. Do sit in tub of luke warm water after passing stool. Hav high fibre diet.
