At the age of 40 which is near to the menopause... there are many hormonal changes taking place in your body... and it can be the cause of the problems...
There are no specific diet .. you can eat everything which is nutritious and not too fried or packaged..
Take a multivitamin tablet..
Do regular pranayama like Anulom Vilom and kapal bharti...
And in case these does not help then better consult for homoeopathic treatment..

Since when r you having this? What are other symptoms that you are experiencing?
By doing what like walking, exertion, eating or empty stomach- it increases or decreases in intensity. For how much time it remains? How is your appetite?Are you constipated or having loose stools?
Is there stiffness also? Any problem in urine? I need to know more to be able to make a diagnosis.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part.
Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder.
Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful
Do hot fomantation.
Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days.
Caldikind plus 1tab od x10.
Do neck, back & general exercises.
It may have to be further investigated.
You will need other supportive medicines also.
Make sure you are not allergic to any...more

Apply ice packs voveran gel locally twice a day give rest to your neck n avoid prolonged work on laptop or on mobile in a wrong posture for long n also take tab. Retoz Mr. 4 mg once daily for 5 days all this should help relieve you of your symptoms of muscular neck pain.

Neck pain has become a common life style problem. Almost every youngster remain busy in net surfing. Chatting and many other gadgetry activities for hours togather which is causing this postural muscle spasm very often. You must not carry on such activities continuously but give breaks in between. Sleep with a thin pillow. Never lie on your timmy and read / chat on your gadgets. If you font follow such simple means pain will recur.

you seem to be suffering from acute muscular pain. I would advise you to get a x-ray cervical spine to rule out any disc prolapse.
For acute muscular pain I advise following:
1. A combination of pain killer and muscle relaxant containing diclofenac and thiocholchiside.
2. To do hot fomentation of the affected area.
3. To apply diclofenac ointment locally.
4. To get physiotherapy done particularly ultrasonic heat massage.
