U need to do many lifestyle changes for this.
First of all u should change your eating habits like
1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic). ) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do.
2. Don't Overeat

Most diabetics are hypertensive. Diabetics can prevent hypertension by absolute control of diabetes. Keep hba1c level at 6 -7. Chek lipids. Exercise important. Salt less than 2g/ day. Plenty of vegetables and fruits. Sugar and fruits to be avoided in diabetes. Papaya fruit is advised fir diabetics.
