Hi. Hope you keeping a check on your blood sugar level. Joint pain could be due to elevted uric acid level. Please get a serum uric acid test done. There are some simple exercises for knee pain. It would be advisable to consult a yoga teacher or a physiotherapist. If the pain becomes unbearable, you can take a pain killer.

Diabetes is not a curable disease, it can only be controlled with medication and diet. Please follow these tips to keep the disease under control:
- Avoid all whites like rice, sugar, maida,etc.
- Eat in small quantities 4-5 servings per day.
- Walk daily for 1 hour.
- Avoid intake of oil fried food and sweets.
- Take medicines prescribed by the doctor regularly.
- Visit your doctor regularly for follow up check-ups.
- Get your sugar levels checked once in a ...more

If you have T2 diabetes, then you will have to continue taking the medicine to keep blood glucose under control all through the life. There is no cure in diabetes. The day medicine is discontinued, bllod glucose levels will go up and there can be very serious long term complications affecting every single system in the body. There has been no successful treatment found yet to completely cure a patient of Diabetes. But with good diet, exercise and medication it can be controlled optimally. Good diabetic control leads to less complications of heart, nerves, eyes, kidneys etc.
