Hi lybrate-user, addiction can be caused by any substance or medicines. It depends on the doctor and the patient to decrease the medicine on timely fashion before you get addicted. I will suggest you to meet your psychiatrist after the prescribed time and he himself will reduce the dose of medicines so don't worry about addiction and you can safely take this medicine.

Do sports (at home, if you feel more confortable) but 3x 30min/week.
Eat more greens, oilseeds, fresh fruits and food rich in magnesium such as: raw spinach, fish, beans, lentils, avocados, brown rice, bananas, figs and chocolate.
If you have a pet, cuddle with it more often and take care of it. It will make you shift your focus from anxiety to something else.
Try to catch the sun everyday for 10mins.
Check your levels of vit D and B12 (adjust with supplements if needed).

Hi improve your eating habits, try to snack out frequently. The only thing you have to concentrate is healthy snacking. Make sure you take a lot of protein rich foods like pulses, nuts, soy products to ensure a healthy weight gain. Since you are a vegetarian, the choices are little tough to follow. But if you are ready to take eggs, you can have that. Please make sure that you consult a dietitian/nutritionist before following a diet plan.
Thank you.
