You took a very good decision to quit smoking. It is a harmful habit & do not have any beneficial effect on the body. Smoking for long may affect the upper respiratory tract & lungs, causing many problems like throat irritation & infection, chronic cough, COPD, Chronic bronchitis etc. As you are having chest pain better get yourself evaluated by a physician to rule out any affect in your chest & lungs by smoking.

Drugs, be it alcohol or marijuana, in the long run are precipitating factors of all sorts of psychiatric disorders. Alcohol withdrawal doesnot run more than a week and marijuana causes only psychological withdrawal never physical.
So as in your case, it seems to be an underlying independent anxiety or depressive disorder that has developed. If you wish to refrain from medicines, you may try relaxation methods like deep breathing exercises, yoga and meditation.

Dear friend, congrats you have a strong willpower, but some time you loose your confidence. I assure you that nothing will go wrong when you quit smoking.
This is a false belief that withdrawal of smoking causes any damage.
But what happens when you quit, a low confidence again provokes to restart.
Here what should be done, just take few deep breaths and a glass of cold water and lemon juice and sip this slowly.
Spend 10, _15 min.
Try to engage your mind in any work, play wit...more

Withdrawal symptoms vary from person to person and I hope that this is just that. However, many times when giving up addictive habits, the body does act strangely, sometimes because of psychosomatic factors and at other times just because of the absence of the substances. This is an attempt by the body to entice you back to the abuse by suggesting that you cannot manage without these chemicals. If you are weak you will succumb. If you are firm this attempt will fizzle out and disappear. Often wh...more

You should never stop these medicines without your doctor's advice. Although this medication can be addictive, it is good for your anxiety. If you have the strips with you, please check the expiry date and if it is still within the expiry date, you can take it. But I advise you to meet with your doctor and let her/him monitor your medication. It is also recommended that if you don't want to take the medicine for a long time, you should seek the help of a counselor from whom you will learn skills...more

Hello-
while some people believe that consuming whey protein can enhance sexual performance, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim. In fact, consuming excessive amounts of protein can actually have the opposite effect and lead to decreased libido and erectile dysfunction.

Hi,
you predominantly have gerd. Pain may be due to overlapping symptoms of dyspepsia (epigastric pain syndrome) or gerd related.
Anxiety can precipitate or worsen the symptoms of gerd. If you have taken ppi (pantoprazole, omeprazole etc.) for some time regularly and have no symptom relief or if you have difficulty in swallowing, vomiting, blood in vomit, weight loss. Then you will benefit from consulting a gastroenterologist.
May need to undergo, endoscopy +/- oesophageal manometry.

The adjustment phase when starting a new medication can vary from person to person. Generally, side effects like drowsiness and changes in mood may occur in the initial weeks as your body adapts to the medication. For most people, these side effects tend to lessen over time.
In the case of stalopam (escitalopram), which is an ssri (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) commonly prescribed for anxiety and panic disorders, side effects often improve within the first few weeks. However, every...more
