I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Most experts say that people should give up in one go, but most people who smoke seem to try to stop by gradually reducing the amount they smoke before stopping.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello, it depends on how much alcohol he consumes daily and for how long he has been having this amount. There is definitely a possibility of not having a withdrawal if the person is not heavily dependent on alcohol.
Addressing your second issue - with high motivation quitting is possible but usually people tend to restart. The overall psychiatric treatment for alcohol includes medicine as well as counseling to increase motivation to keep the person away from alcohol.

Dear Gaurav,
You need to be appreciated for your decision to quit smoking. You have withdrawal symptoms as headache. Keep on motivating yourself to quit by smoking half cigarette and postponing the urge to smoke by few minutes. It will help you to reduce headache and also no smoking. Though headache goes away in few weeks, the cravings will continue for few months. Make a family member or friend to appreciate your effort to fight the craving

Distract Yourself. Do the dishes, turn on the tv, take a shower, or call a friend. The activity doesn’t matter as long as it gets your mind off smoking.
Remind yourself why you quit. Focus on your reasons for quitting, including the health benefits (lowering your risk for heart disease and lung cancer, for example), improved appearance, money you’re saving, and enhanced self-esteem.
Get out of a tempting situation. Where you are or what you’re doing may be triggering the craving. If so, ...more

Dear user. I can understand. Tobacco is addictive. Cigarette also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. Nicotine chewing gums too help as an alternative for cigarettes. But still...more

Congratulations on your success with quitting smoking. This is incredible and you must keep it up under any circumstances. Regarding improving your lungs, do a lot of aerobic exercise breathing through your nostrils only. Then there are a lot of deep breathing exercises in yoga which you can learn too. Deep breathing cleanses your system and lungs and restores it to good health. Deep breathing uses the 80% of the lungs which are not normally used in normal breathing and even when exerting yourse...more
