Vitiligo or White patches is medically referred as Leucoderma. It is a disease that causes loss of skin colour resulting in white patches. It can affect the skin on any part of the human body. It occurs when the melanin-forming cells called melanocytes which produce melanin die or stop functioning. The condition is not life threatening or contagious, but it is stressful and makes one feel bad about oneself.

Hi, you can use vit C. It reduces dark spots to some extent. Further treatment can be advised only after assessing the dark spots to identify its cause. You could use moisturizer and sunscreen during the day to prevent further skin pigmentation. Ingredients like niacinamide and others will help. Do consult a local dermatologist for proper guidance.

Hi. The medicines you have mentioned are not over the counter products. They are specifically meant to be taken after consultation with a dermatologist and getting relevant investigations/work up done to avoid any kind of complications later. Kindly visit a dermatologist or you may schedule an appointment here. Thank you.
