Hello-
surgery is not an ideal treatment for varicocele. You must have been misguided by your surgeon as modern science lack medicinal treatment, but it does not mean it can not be treated. Anyways, no point discussing past. Its best to consult now to avoid complications of surgery and recurrence too.

Hello-
surgery is not an ideal treatment for varicocele as it has high recurrence rates. So if the semen analysis have become normal for now, it will not stay that way long. Better to consult a qualified ayurveda doctor for help.

I usually don't prescribe varicocele surgery to my patients unless i'm very sure that surgery will make sperm motility normal.

Varicocele increases the temperature of testis due to stagnation of blood around testis thus killing sperms due to increase in temperature. The cost is around Rs 3000 in good government hospitals.

Varicocele affects the blood flow through your scrotum, and can interfere with blood flow to your sperm, being held in the sperm sac of the testicles, which are held within the scrotum. The scrotum ‘sac’ contains blood vessels and veins that deliver this blood to the reproductive glands. A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum. These veins are called the pampiniform plexus. Often, someone suffering from this issue will have swollen scrotum.

It’s not always necessary to treat a varicocele. However, you may want to consider treatment if:

your varicocele causes pain
your varicocele causes testicular atrophy
your varicocele causes infertility
you’re thinking about assisted reproductive techniques
