Hi my ultrasound scan report was impression: left kidney shows double moiety with moderate hydroureteronephrosis of upper moiety, secondary to a calculus of size ~ 1.1*0.4 cm in lower ureter, seen ~ 5 cm proximal to uv junction. Rest of visualized organs appear normal sonography. Now my urology doctor said we have to wait for 10 days because width 0.4 mm and one more thing stone shape is narrow, that seems to be like chalk piece. Now my medication is thiazide 25 mg one tab in morning for 10 days and urimax 0.4 mg 1 per night 10 days. Today I gave blood test urea and creatine and urine routine, waiting for report. Any chance of possible to stone pass away? How many days we have to wait? Now no pain in abdominal and back. Please read patiently and answer to my question. Please guide me without surgery (rirs and ursl). Thank you for your upcoming valuable answers.

See, there is definitely a possibility that the stone of 1.1 by 0.4 (elongated shape) will get expelled from you body spontaneously with the help of medicines. Take plenty of water along with medicines. The question is how long you can wait for it.in my opinion, it shouldn't be more that a month. Because, the stone will be exerting back pressure changes. So if it doesn't come out in a month, take help of the urologist.

Hi my mother 50 years old now she done ursl for kidney stones. Doctor prescribed me preprocedure so I met anesthesiologist. He first said spinal anaesthesia. But my mother was abjected. Four years back she did rirs procedure under general anaesthesia (kidney stones). Then anaesthetic accept our request. Today new anaesthetic we will give to you spinal anaesthesia in operation theatre. Again I had to started argument. After few minutes he accepted. In operation room he ordered to my mother inhale breath during anaesthesia. My mother suffered lot of panic and breathe problem before and after anaesthesia. This is right way to handle old woman? After complete urls procedure my mother faced breathing problems, nurse and doctor didn't notice. What was wrong with anaesthesia? 2 years back I (24 year) did laparoscopic surgery for chocolate cyst (endometriosis). At that time anaesthetic gave me one injection in iv in operation room. I'm unconscious within 30 seconds. Why was not happened to my mother like me? This was correct inhale breath during anaesthesia? Now my doctor prescribed me urispas table in night. But my mother not conscious fully operation done on 5 pm today now 11. 55 pm nurse compulsion to my mother take urispas in empty stomach. My mother not eat anything 9 hours even she didn't drink water also. These methods are all new to me and family. Now we need clarification about all my questions. 4 years back urology doctor gave tablet after discharge. Please clarify my above questions. Thank you.

Anaesthesia affect differently human to human
as drug do diffently to different body but act in similar manner. Any patient out of 2.5 standard deviation are problematic for us. And cause morbidity and mortality.

Take plenty of liquids daily. Stone in the ureter can be managed with medications provided it is small sized and mild symptoms. If youre suffering with high grade fever and/or excessive pain then it is better to undergo operation (URSL). Or if the stone is blocking the kidney for prolonged duration then also surgery is indicated.

This is a small umbilical hernia. It can be left as such if it's not causing a problem. If your patient is otherwise fit and tolerates anesthesia well, it's better to get it repaired In the same sitting. As per the size giving by you it's a small hernia and at the maximum it will take half an hour more to repair it..
