Having ulcerative colitis puts a patient at increased risk of developing colon cancer. Symptoms include rectal bleeding, bloody diarrhoea, abdominal cramps and pain.

You should be properly investigated for ulcerative colitis every disease in which pt. pass mucus and blood may not be ulcerative colitis this does not improve much with rifagut.Doctors in Max must have got few basic investigations if not plz get your stool examination done for three days and consult a doctor.I suggest you a very simple home remedy till your investigations are done .plz take isefgoul husk 2spoon two times a day with curd I hope you will improve but this is not a tr...more

It's chronic disease so requires a lot restrictions for food. Buttermilk is best for it. Avoid spicy food, curd.And yes only ayurvedic medicines work on it. Firstly we require pachake in medicines like ampachak vait, hingvastak churna .then to strengthen digestive system like bilva yeranda and other medicines. Also it requires panchakarma too. Medicines doses and panchakarma only decided after knowing severity and duration of symptoms.

ulcerative colitis has very distinctive findings on biopsy and very clear symptoms, acute on chronic non specific colitis is not ulcerative colitis, please discuss your symptoms also please get the slide looked at by a different pathologist for a second opinion.

since u have been diagnosed with ulcerative collitis , this disease takes time to cure
as u need a treatment for six months its correct or may be longer ..dont worry about it .
for blood in stool what u can do is u must not hv hard stools that will trigger ur act of blood in stool
so always try to have high fibre diet ..and plenty of fluids
dont worry u will be olrite .
since u have been diagnosed with ulcerative collitis , this disease takes time to cure

As per Ayurveda Science its considered under Sangrahani disease with Ajirna. It can be treated with Ayurveda line of treatment. So better you visit experienced Ayurveda Doctor & take medicine with proper way diagnosis.
Few precaution advice
1) 1/4 th reduction based boiled water in room temperature conditions whole day
2) Milk with 1tsp (not exceed than 4gm) Mulethi (Yasthimadhu) powder twice
3) Rice water (kanji), Mungdaal Khichadi, Kheer, Seasonal vegetab...more

I appreciate you seeking help. Chronic constipation is often the lead cause behind ulcerative colitis. You definitely do need to streamline your diet which should mostly comprise of softly cooked or steamed vegetables with less of salt, oil, ghee, spices etc all. Preferably, use olive oil for cooking. The more bland the diet is, easily digestible will it be and the better it will be for your health/ recovery. Also, do consume well ripened fruits especially papaya & banan...more

What all medicine you have taken/ taking. Contact on private chat for medicine in the mean time you have to improve your food habits do
1. Take 2/ 3 glass of warm water in the morning
2. Take more water in day
3. Take meals at fixed hrs
4. Take small amount of food at a time, take more frequent meals - may be five times a day.
5. No spicy/ fried/ fast/ junk/processed food.
6. No milk for few days, can take curd, no uncooked salad
7. Avoid constipation
8. Use nibu ...more
