And if you stop abruptly it may cause withdrawal symptoms like tremors, sweating, bodyache, muscle cramps, vomiting, diarrhoea etc. My advice is you try to reduce the no. The tablet your father taking is highly addictive. You need to consult a psychiatrist and give him proper medications for his sleep and emotional problems. Safe medications will be beneficial and non addictive and they are not harmful on a longer run. Good luck.

Dear lybrate-user! the answer to your query lies in your question itself. The major adverse effect of poppers is a decrease in blood pressure than can lead to lightheadedness and fainting. Other effects of popper abuse include fast heart rate, headache, cyanosis (bluish discoloration of skin and mucous membranes), unconsciousness, coma, death. So I think now you know the solution for your problem.

Cannabis if it does, mostly only triggers panic disorder and not causes it. Pls get re-assessed by a psychiatrist, you will need longer term treatment. Pls don't stop medication so fast.

You will need to go to a rehabilitation centre and take proper treatment.
It is not advisable to take treatment at home without consulting.

Lorazepam is used for de addiction from alcohol, but it is given for a short time, few weeks only. If you have become addicted to it you need to consult a psychiatrist and you can be weaned away from that suggesting alternates and then stopping them too. Good luck.
