Dear user. I can understand. Depressive disorder or depression is a neuro chemical disorder. Suicidal tendency is one main symptom of depression. You must be able to distinguish between mental disease and mental disorder. Your problem is a mental disorder. Not a mental disease. These mental disorders are usually treated with a combination of medicines and other means like awareness, meditation, psychotherapy techniques, life style changes etc. Take care.

Dear Anand,
When did you last consult your doctor? Please consult her/him to discuss your continuation of these tablets. If you still need them, he can prescribe cheaper and equally effective alternatives to these drugs. They are NOT addictive - addiction means that you go on increasing the dose, your thinking is always about how to get them, you get craving and other physical symptoms on withdrawal nad you don't perform your normal responsibilities.

Hello friend,
be aware that medicine is just one part of any psychological issues or treatment. Beyond medicine, there are many other actions you need to adopt especially psychotherapy or mindset change techniques, life style changes, relaxation, exercises, diet etc are required to make progress.
Are you following such things in your routine? If not, suggest you to approach a psychologist in parallel to identify the suitable solution.
Feel free to reach me for further assistance.

Dear Ankush,
Franxit contains 2 different drugs. One of them is banned in India.
Amitriptyline is a different drug. In low dose, it can be used for social phobia and nervousness.

Depends on the condition. If you taking it for long term anxiety, OCD or depression then stopping it will lead to relapse if the symptoms. If they were given for a short term illness they can be stopped. So it lies with your condition. Good luck
