Hello, from past 8-10 days I am experiencing swollen tonsils with cold and cough associated with runny nose and sneezing with headache. Also my left wisdom tooth is decayed with abscess. Does tooth decay causes throat infection and swollen tonsils. Doctor has prescribed me azithromycin 250 but infection or swelling hasn't subsided. Please suggest any medicine or treatment for the condition. Please provide treatment details. Kindly reply asap.

Unlikely tooth infection causes tonsillitis as well as rhinitis and pharyngitis take clarithromycin 500 mg 1 tab twice daily after food for 5 days tab, betadine gargle and, aceclo sera paracetamol combination. Do throat swap for culture and sensitivity test go for online consultation with image of throat.

I was developed with tonsils a day before yesterday. The left side tonsil is only affected there are white dots on tonsil and hurting while swallowing. I went to doctor and they gave me azithromycin 500 once daily for 5 days today was my second dose. Still tonsil is there but some pain is reduced feeling quite feverish 98.3 I am quite worried is the tonsils viral or bacterial and fear of cavity 19 also. I do not have cough or anything else. Just quite feverish feeling of 98.3 and tonsils please help should I worried or not for. And how long it will take to cure the tonsils and fever.

Might be you are having gerd, take more fluids, avoid spicy and oil foods, make some life style changes (daily exercise, yoga, meditatio), take more fruits espically papaya, banana,watermelon, muskmelon
avoid citric fruits and cafene products
take syrup mucaine gel 2tsp trice daily, consult me online if you still have problems.

My left tonsil is swollen and i'm having tonsil stones from 1 months. I remove them with my fingers but it occurs again and again. Now i'm noticing a white line on my tonsil.
