I have hypothyroidism, earlier I had 150 tsh level and gone through 100 mcg thyronorm med. I had no symptoms of it though when I had it, I lack healthy body and was very underweight. Which was strange to this condition. Now its 4 years passed and I checked regularly, it was normal. Recently I checked again and my tsh= 26 this time so Dr. said to have 125 mcg thyronorm. Its been 15 days and I checked again with antibody test. Tsh = 1.629µiu/ml, t4 = 12.2µg/dl ,t3= 0.96 ng/ml. Anti tpo, serum = 266.3 u/ml so I have hashimoto disease. Still I feel weakness even on medication. I would like to know is anything there that can help me through? And can I get rid of hashimoto?

I have seen the details mentioned. Please understand hashimoto's thyroiditis (ht) is an autoimmune phenomenon, that causes hypothyroidism. There is no medication to cure or remove it. In majority of hypothyroidism patients the cause is ht. In any form of hypothyroidism only treatment is to take adequate dosage of levothyroxine and maintain tsh with in the specified range as well as t4 in the normal range. Yes dear ,tyrosine is a building block for the thyroid hormones, so supplimenting ,it can produce more thyroid harmones. People with an hyperthyroidism should avoid tyrosine.

I have hypothyroid and using 62.5 mcg eltroxin daily. This week I got tested and my tsh is 4.096 ref range is (0.55-4.78). T3 total is 0.77 ref range is (0.6-1.81) t4 total is 14.6 ref range is (3.2-12.6) now I have to take how much dose daily?

My t3 & t4 were normal & tsh was 17.67. This happen after taking covid vaccination. Since it was vaccination effect thought will be fine without medicines over the time. After year again done test - t3 & t4 were normal & tsh was 20. Decided to show doctor & he advised to start taking 75 mcg thyronorm within 25 days after taking medicine tsh came down to 1.17. Than I reduced the dose to 50 mcg again done test after 20 days tsh was 1.90. My family doctor recommended to take Dr. Reckweg r51 drops along with thyronorm 75 mcg for 3 months. R51 drops I use to take after 45 mins of thyronorm medicine. Followed the same & when I done the test my tsh has come to 7. Is it because of homeopathic medicine? Do I have to take medicine lifetime now? Pls advise.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Madam, when one is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine then tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l, t3 & t4 are in normal range. That is considered as controlled hypothyroidism. Another aspect is please do not keep changing the dosage rapidly. It take about 6 weeks to see appropriate change in tsh levels.
