You need a thyroid (tsh) test. So go for test.
May be it, s possible you suffer from hypothyroidism. I advice you include high fibre, normal protein. Modrate carbohydrates food in your diet. And go for brisk walk atleast 45 minutes. Do regular exercise. Avoid junk food and oily food. Drink more water.

Yes you can take two 50 mg tabs together. But never break any tab to make it half dose as that would be highly inaccurate dosing then.

Mr. lybrate-user Kishore, Thanks for the query. V Oncevthe treatment is begun you have to take the tablets for at least 6 to 8 weeks. Because that much of time is needed for TSH change to be noticed. Another Important point to be remembered is that for remaining free from symptoms of hypothyroidism TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. So when next test is done this has to be looked at. Hi if you are referring to hypothyroidism by saying" suffering form thyroid" then you will have to start treatment with thyroxine tablets in correct dose, which depends on body weight, t4 & tsh levels. Plus you will have to avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits.
