Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam I have seen the details. The tsh levels mentioned are definitely higher than what should be normally seen at your age. This is suggestive of sub-clinical hypothyroidism. In many cases of sub-clinical hypothyroidism no treatment is advised. However, if there are obvious symptoms of hypothyroidism seen like weight gain, irregular menstrual cycles, lethargy, feeling of tiredness, no interest in doing routine things, dry skin, muscle and joint pains and hair lo...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. From the given information I am unable to understand what is the current situation. Because only the dosage of tablet (thyronorm 50) is mentioned. Nothing about patient's t3, t4 & tsh levels as well as weight, height or any other details like her age is mentioned.
Hypothyroidism if not properly controlled does cause difficulty in getting pregnant. Tsh needs to be maintained <2.5mu/l for getting pregnant. Plus hypothyroidism ...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details mentioned. Your tsh is with in the specified range, which means the current dosage is adequate & needs to be continued. Secondly please remember while going for testing thyroid profile, the dose of the tablets should be taken as one does every day. However, missing on that (test day) hardly changes the result. But always remember not to drop the dosing. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. As you have stated, if hypothyroidism is well controlled, the person has absolutely normal life. There are hardly any issues. However, if you are having "mood swings" even when thyroid hormone levels are normal (no levels are mentioned, so difficult to comment), then one has to look for are there any other causes. The information given is very nonspecific, that is there is no way to know whether the person is a male or female, w...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details mentioned. Your tsh is too high, (if 100.01 mu/l is correct.). That means your current treatment is inadequate. In a well controlled hypothyroid patient tsh remains around 3 to 4 mu/l & t3, t4 are in the specified range. Even prolactin is also high, that is because hypothyroidism is not well controlled. Plus with a bmi (body mass index) of 29.6 kg/sq meter (normal <23 kg/sq meter) you are almost in grade 1 obesity. You have an exces...more
