Yes, thyroid hormone is must for normal pregnancy, mental ane physical development of fetus. If you are planning for pregnancy take sufficient thyroid hormone supplement to control hypothyroid state and monitor TSH regularly throughout pregnancy and thereafter.

Hypothyroidism while you are pregnant can have significant adverse health effects on the unborn baby, and so maternal hypothyroidism should be avoided.
If you are hypothyroid prior to pregnancy, the Guidelines recommend that your dosage be adjusted so that TSH is below 2.5 mIU/L prior to conception. This lowers the risk of the TSH elevating in the first trimester.

In pregnancy it is essential to maintain TSH in the following manner: 1st trimester - 0.1 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd trimester - .0.2 to 3.0 mU/L, 3rd trimester - 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. Based on the levels mentioned your present TSH is too high. It has to be rapidly reduced to < 2mU/L by increasing the dose by 25 mcg per day (62.5 + 25= 87.5) then check TSH after 4 weeks.
