Hello, Thanks for the query. The recommended TSH levels in pregnancy are as follows: 1st Trimester: 0.1 to 2.5, 2nd Trimester: 0.2 to 3.0 & 3rd Trimester: 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. Looking at these levels, at 13 weeks, your level is high. There may be a need for a minimal dosage of Levothyroxine. You may check with your gynaecologist. Because it is vital to maintain those levels within specified range. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Usually following delivery requirement of thyroxine reduces. However, since now TSH is at 2.8 mU/L, (recommended range 32 to 4 mU/L), it necessary to continue the same dose. Further, she should check TSH levels periodically (once in 6 months). Please remember treatment of hypothyroidism is for lifetime. If you have any doubts please do come back. Thanks.
