The toothache you are suffering from may be due to a variety of causes, the most common being:
1. Tooth decay
2. Tooth fracture
3. A damaged filling

Pain on eating something sweet and pain on pressing around the decayed tooth indicates advanced damage. Don't worry about the tumor because the pain could just be due to dental infection or pus formation around the decaying tooth. The yellowness is probably due to plaque build up because of poor oral hygiene. See your dentist soon before any further damage ensues. Use a fluoridated toothpaste ...more

If your son has decay in his teeth, the doctor is absolutely right. If his milk teeth are not treated properly and if he loses them, the empty space left would lead to malocclusion and other problems. If you are not convinced with the doctors opinion, you can send in his radiographs and pictures. In the future, ask your dentist about fluoride applications to prevent other teeth from decaying. Also make it a habit for him to clean his mouth after meals. Good day.

Hello Lybrate user. Brown spots or dark spots over the tooth have many reasons. Sometimes the deposites are very dark and they appear brown.
The extrinsic or the stains caused by external factors are removed by scaling and polishing. Whereas the intrinsic stains remains as it is. It would be best if you share an image. Because it will confirm the cause of stains and will be able to treat it in a better way.

Dear lybrate-user,
the broken tooth you are referring to, is causing pain as its nerves have become exposed. Most likely, you may have had a long-standing cavity, or may have chewed on something extremely hard, that led to loss of a part of the tooth. The most reliable treatment in such cases is an rct, wherein the pain gets relieved permanently. I suggest that that you consult me privately on lybrate, so that I can provide more specific answers. You will be able to send across images of you...more
