This is normal unless it causes pain or discomfort.
The patches will go only after prosthesis removal which is not advisable.
* apply vaseline/glycerine over the local area to keep the region moist.
* apply turmeric paste with glycerine locally over the lesions (massage do not rub)

take extra oral hygiene measures using twice a day brushing, flossing, mouth rinses. many medications can cause dry mouth that can lead to more problems with teeth. so frequent sipping of water and salivary substitutes can help.

Hi Lybrate user,
it's a psychological problem.
See, phle waha plaque and calculus tha and ab woh remove ho gya hai toh obviously apka tongue wha jayega hi.
And isse preshan nhi hona k bht salivation ho rha hai. Better salivation better cleansing action.
Kuch din mai resolve ho jayega do not take any stress for that.
Thank you.

More the deposits more sensitivity you will feel after scaling, but that is going to be temporary. After scaling you need to follow instructions thoroughly, if you don't, problem can recur. Just because sensitivity might increase for a week doesn't mean that you will not get your scaling done. If you don't get scaling done then deposits will continu...more

Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.
