You can. But if there is fluid restriction, try to adjust with the free fluid quantity. Chicken soup can be taken but I don't know what other liquids you are planning to give. If there's no restrictions and there are no symptoms like swelling of feet or face, you can give fluids in moderation.

The pain due to kidney stones starts in lower back and is always a referred pain in abdomen and so in your case the pain is not due to kidney stones but the real cause can be found out only after physical examination.

Urine infection can be diagnosed by routine examination of urine. Early morning midstream sample is best. In urine infection other common symptoms are increased frequency and urgency along with burning while micturition. Common site is just below the umbilicus. In your case it may be due to some other cause also, so please consult a physician for proper evaluation. Regards.

If your symptoms are just difficult urination then we have to rule out other possibilities such as benign enlargement of prostate considering your age. Get sonography of abdomen and pelvis done which includes post-void urine volume. For further queries kindly consult in the private chat window.
