Hi definitive management for diaphargmatic hernia repair is surgery only. There are no medications with which this defect can be corrected. I think you should follow your surgeons advice and depending upon the symptoms plan for elective laparoscopic surgery. Do understand with him whether it is recurrence of previous haital hernia only or some separate region.

If you are looking forward for treatment in modern medicine that is allopathic. I can tell you that it can only be resolved by surgical intervention. However surgery depends on the chronicity and symptoms you are facing. It can be delayed depending on the condition. But it is the treatment of choice.

Most cases of hiatal hernias don’t require treatment. The presence of symptoms usually determines treatment. If you have acid reflux and heartburn, you may be treated with medications or, if those don’t work, surgery.

Most hiatal hernias do not cause problems and rarely need treatment. However, since some patients with a hiatal hernia have symptoms of gerd, treatment starts with methods used to manage gerd. Let's have a detailed discussion over a call so that right and effective consultation can be provided.
Thanks.
