Get your blood sugar fasting, pp,HbA1c tests done if they are normal it rules out diabetes.
Type one diabetics have excessive urination, thirst,weight loss, recurrent infections etc
Type two diabetes may not have symptoms and are diagnosed incidentally or during some routine investigation. The are usually overweight.

Diabetes Mellitus are of 2 types Type 1 and Type 2.Type 1 occurs in predominantly the younger age group (<30 years. Type 2 occurs in the elderly. But there can be an overlap between the two types with regard to the age group. The classical symptoms are excessive thirst (polydipsia), frequent urination (polyuria) and excessive hunger (polyphagia. Other symptoms include frequent infections of skin, respiratory tract and urinary tract, fatigue and weight loss.

For some people there might not be any symptoms initially. Therefore, it is important to get it checked (eg - blood sugar levels - Fasting / PP, HbA1c, urine routine etc ).
