Dear Lybrate user
you need to avoid proteins. There is big no to soyabean. Your uric acid level is high, so avoid curd and dry fruits .Once it is under limit, you may take these but in very less qiantity. Repeated test is required. You may go for homeopthic treatment. It is very effective in reducing such pain and swelling. In acute gout attacks painkillers and appropriate steroids help in allopathic treatment. Colchicine alone is not sufficient.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It is an acute event, pus needs to be drained, which you may not be able to do yourself. So better visit a local General Practitioner. Thanks.

Has your great toe turned ineards towards the other toes? If yes then you must be either developing Hallux Valvus giving rise to bunions. U need to modify your footwear in that case and wear a bunion splint for that.
If not - then pls get an x-ray to figure out the type of injury. I can help you more if you post a picture of your great toe here.
Thank you.
