Hi. First of all I would like to know if he underwent any surgery for limb blackening. What I can understand is that he developed acute DVT which resulted in compartment syndrome and blackening. This condition may have resulted in ischaemic neuropathy and myopathy. That's y he is having weakness. It's difficult to say whether normal movement and sensations of the affected limb will restore completely. Treatment given is ok. No prob. You need to have patience and wait. Physiotherapy may help.

Dear lybrate user, shin splint can be taken care with the application of sports (kinesio) taping/ rigid tape application, consult a sports physio for the same. Ice application at the affected area will help reducing pain (2-3/day). About bow legs- consult a orthotist to provide you lateral wedges, leg exercises to strengthen muscles is must. See a local physio for the same.

Shin splints refer to pain felt anywhere along the shinbone from knee to ankle. It is a common overuse injury that most runners will deal with and dread. It is an inflammatory condition of the front part of the tibia. Pain felt on the inner side of the shinbone is called ‘medial shin splints’, while the term ‘anterior shin splints’ refers to pain felt on the outer side. While medial shin splints are more common, pain may be felt on both sides of the shinbone in severe cases.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user
in your case, your total bilirubin level is slightly elevated at 1.5 mg/dl, but your direct bilirubin level is within the normal range at 0.3 mg/dl. This suggests that your elevated bilirubin levels are due to an increase in indirect bilirubin.
The underlying cause of elevated bilirubin levels can vary and requires further evaluation.
The length of time it will take for your bilirubin levels to return to normal depends on the underlying cause and the effectiveness...more

The bilirubin level 2 is increased but not so severe as to cause any issues. You have to keep observation by taking care to avoid further injuries. However, if there are no other injuries there is no harm to be worried
