Spinal Cord Cancer

Cancer spinal cord is essentially an extension of the brain. It lies in the centre of the vertebrae known as backbone.  Symptoms:-

• Headache is the most common symptom.
• Progressive muscular weakness lack of coordingtion.
•  Trouble with balance.
• Blurred or double vision.
• Vomiting with or without nausea.
• Seizures.
• Personality changes
•  Memory loss.
• Numbness and weakness if the tumor has developed in the cone of the spinal cord.

 There is no known cause of primary tumor of the spinal cord. Evidence, howevr, exists indicating that persons working in the petrochemical industry may have a higher risk of developing such tumors.
